When manufacturing our timber doors, we do so to provide comfort to the homeowner. Part of doing this is, is to make sure that as little heat as possible escapes from the property. We fit our timber doors with a concealed gasket, which sits between the door and the frame, providing excellent performance against the elements. This means that no draughts or rain will be entering your property (unless you have left a window or door open). We offer three different thermal performance options with our timber doors, which include standard, where we use softcoat glass that balances insulation with heat gain, insulation, where we prioritise insulation over heat gain, and solar reduction.
If you choose to get double glazing in the door, this too will help the heat stay within your property. The tight pockets within the glass ensure that heat is retained, so in the long-term, you may not need to rely on central heating as much, saving you money.
Our range of timber doors provide exceptional levels of security. When we manufacture our door, we make sure to include the latest in secure technology as standard, such as multi-point locking. With several locking points distributed around the edge of the door, the multi-point locking system engages all bolts when either the handle is operated or when the door is closed. We give our customers several locking systems to choose from: the standard locking system, which is ideal for doors that do not open directly onto a public place, the auto-locking system, where locks are automatically triggered when the door is closed, and the heritage locking system, working in the same way as the auto-locking system.
Another security feature we offer our customers is advanced cylinder locks. We only fit cylinder locks that meet the TS007 3-star British Kitemark and the SS312 Solid Secure Diamond Standard. The last option we offer is security laminated glass. To meet the standards of PAS 24 and the Building Regulations 2015: Security Dwellings (approved document Q), all entrance doors can be specified with security laminated glass.
We give our clientele the option to customise their timber door to their own specifications. Doors are not just a way of getting in and out of a property, but act as the first impression a visitor will get from you. Each property is different, which is why we let our customers decide what they want it to look like. We offer several different finishes to our customers as well as whether the homeowner wants Grandis, European Oak or Accoya, or if they want one colour, two or multiple. Customers have a choice of different door hardware options, such as whether to incorporate glass into their door, either in the door itself or in panelling to the side or above, and different furniture such as letter plates and knockers. The adjustable hinges we put in the door make it perfectly positioned for easy operation, allowing the door to be set after installation.

We have been very impressed with County Windows – Our whole experience has been easy and hassle free.
Before retiring my husband worked for over 30 years in the industry so knew what standard of work he wanted from the various tradesmen. He could not fault any of them and we got the finished job we had hoped for. We are very happy and can highly recommend County Windows to anyone else considering them for similar projects.
County Windows replaced our conservatory roof, the installation team put our minds at rest from the very start. They did a fantastic job, and after the three days it took to do the job you would not have known they had been there. Our conservatory now looks great, thanks to all at County Windows, especially the installation team.
I’m writing to say how pleased we are with our new conservatory roof. I have not contacted you before as we have been waiting for it to rain and it passed with flying colours. Also, my wife and I must mention the fitters, Jamie and Danny. We cannot praise them enough, they were always on time, kept us in the loop as regards to finishing off, the attention to detail was first class and they were pleasant to deal with. All in all, a very nice pair of lads. Thank you.
I would like to thank you and the team for the replacement of our door and windows. It was a big concern to us and we spent some time deciding on who to order with. The team were polite and left the house looking clean and tidy, nothing was too much trouble.
I just want to say how pleased we are with the re-glazed conservatory. It is a massive improvement and turned out every bit as nice as we expected. Your two people, Mark and Simon, were a pleasure to deal with, very considerate and did an excellent job on the installation and the finishing.
